Urbn Leaf Grover Beach
Urbn Leaf Grover Beach converts a former buggy mechanic shop into a refined retail destination, the brand’s fourth California location. The adaptive reuse retains the building’s straightforward industrial character while reorganizing the plan into two clear wings: a taller, street-facing volume for retail and a parallel bar housing back-of-house functions and offices.

An L-shaped footprint is completed by a large wood trellis, forming a U-shaped plan around a central courtyard. At the heart of the project, the open court introduces light, air, and native planting, while a custom paving pattern defines the outdoor room and extends the retail experience beyond the storefront. A material palette of raw concrete, corrugated metal, and warm wood balances durability with a welcoming, minimalist atmosphere.
